Schanbel's new work at PACE in London is sad and insulting to all the outstanding painting happening today. His new work is a poor remix of appropriation of the 1980's. "It is about the power to take ordinary things, and by arranging them, to produce a transcendence of their ordinariness" is part of the gallery press release. No, it's not.
